Genuine Madrid left-back Ferland Merland is apparently able to take the necessary steps to possibly rejoin with Zinedine Zidane at Paris Holy person Germain (PSG).
The Frenchman, who was brought in from Lyon by Zidane in the summer of 2019, made 70 appearances across all competitions during Zidane’s two seasons in charge. However, under Carlo Ancelotti, his story has been different.
Mendy has only started 14 games this season in La Liga, largely because there isn’t much competition for his position. According to El Nacional, the Italian manager thinks Mendy is worthless, and Real Madrid may be willing to sell him for around €50 million.
In the meantime, Christophe Galtier’s position at Parc des Princes is uncertain, particularly given that PSG lost to Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match. It appears that club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is in conversation with Zidane about a possible move.
Mendy could apparently do anything to reunite with the manager of Les Parisiens if he joins them. He has won the UEFA Champions League three times. However, the 27-year-old may find it difficult to transfer to PSG from Real Madrid.
Due to the saga of Kylian Mbappe’s transfer last summer, it appears that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is unwilling to negotiate for the player with the Parisians. The Ligue 1 giants would only be able to sign him if they fulfilled his €250 million release clause.
One condition exists for Real Madrid’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe from PSG:
As per AS (h/t Genuine Winners), Genuine Madrid need to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG yet as a free specialist.
When his previous contract at the Parc des Princes expired last summer, the Spanish giants were close to signing the French superstar. However, Mbappe signed a new contract with PSG after deciding against a last-minute move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
If Mbappe does not exercise his option to extend his contract with the French team for another season, it will expire in the summer of 2024. After what happened in the summer, Real Madrid are not interested in negotiating a deal with PSG for the former AS Monaco forward.
Karim Benzema’s contract, which runs out at the end of the season, could use a long-term replacement. Los Merengues may be forced to look for a new player in the summer because the 35-year-old does not have a good backup in Madrid.
