This summer, full-back Joao Cancelo, who is currently on loan to Bayern Munich from Manchester City, is reportedly wanted by Real Madrid. Los Blancos may have to pay around €70 million for the Portugal international.
Fichajes, a Spanish publication, claims that Manchester City’s future plans do not appear to include Joao Cancelo, so Real Madrid has their sights set on him. The protector was sent borrowed to Bayern in the colder time of year move window recently after apparently dropping out with director Kick Guardiola.
Since moving to Germany, the full-back has contributed four assists and scored one goal. Real Madrid, on the other hand, has a good chance of signing the Portuguese player because Bayern, despite his good form, is reluctant to pay €70 million for him.
After losing the La Liga race to archrival Barcelona, Los Blancos are getting ready for a significant summer. Cancelo has been mentioned as a possible acquisition by Carlo Ancelotti as one of the positions they want to strengthen.
The defender was available for the Spanish giants to sign during the January transfer window, but they turned it down and sent him to Bayern Munich instead. If they come back in the summer with a firm offer for Cancelo, it remains to be seen.
According to numerous reports, the Bundesliga giants have the option of making Cancelo’s move permanent this summer for €70 million.
“I would like to see him with us next season,” said forward Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich :
In Bayern Munich’s recent 5-3 Bundesliga victory over Augsburg, Joao Cancelo scored his first goal for the club. The full-back’s performance in the match particularly impressed forward Sadio Mane, who urged the club to sign him permanently.
He referred to Cancelo as “one of the best in the world” and expressed the hope that the defender would also play alongside him for Bayern next season. “What an athlete! We saw once more today that Joao is among the best in the world. He told Sport1 that he is “so good, in fact, that we are very happy that he is playing for us.”
“I would like to see him play for us the following season. We absolutely require these kinds of players!” Mane came in. If Bayern wants to make Cancelo’s move permanent, they will have to compete with Real Madrid.
