Madhya Pradesh is the prime place for Shooting with rising academies in the State providing World Class facilities.
Additionally, The MP Shooting academy which is a hub of shooters has been here for a decade now. Shooters from the country and state train in the academy.
In the last few years, there have been many national championships and other events held in the MP Shooting academy. The ISSF World Cup is going to be held for the first time in MP.
Consequently, this opportunity is incredibly exciting and growth for the state as per ministers of Madhya Pradesh.
Yashodhara Raje Scindia says the opportunity is great for the state
The state Sports minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia said the announcement of the ISSF World Cup venue is a significant acknowledgment of MP. Moreover, as a leader in sports infrastructure and the vision of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who backed sports.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh took Twitter to say ” We are hosting the ISSF Shooting World Cup( Rifle and Pistol) is a matter of joy and pride for the people of MP. ”
Veteran Shooter Mairaj Ahmed Khan headlined for performing in the ISSF World Cup. Above all, team India won 5 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Similarly, Olympic gold Medalist Abhinav A. Bindra tweeted to say ” Elated to learn that Bhopal is going to host @ISSF_Shooting World Cup Rifle/Pistol in March. Events like these compliment the robust initiatives taken under the leadership of the Sports minister. I’m confident that the Championship will encourage athletes.
In an interaction with TOI, he said ” Our MP shooting Academy was launched a decade ago and it has made a strong presence at the National level. I have no words to define the feeling that Bhopal will host the world cup.
Moreover, it is unbelievable that such world-class shooting ranges have been developed by the State. An improvement in game infrastructure is required and shooting is a sport that needs to keep up with technology.
