In the year 2023, the schedule of the Indian cricket team will be as hectic as it has been in all previous years. It is quite uncommon that Indian players are not competing in a series or tournament somewhere else in the world since they have such a massive fan following. In point of fact, compared to their counterparts from other nations, India’s men’s and women’s teams play a much greater number of matches during the year.
The Indian men’s team will compete in 2023 for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final and the One-Day International World Cup with the goal of breaking their long-running trophy drought in the ICC. On the other side, for India to secure a spot in the World T20 Championship Final, they will have to defeat Australia and win the Border Gavaskar Trophy at home.
Earlier, the BCCI announced the 2023 home season. According to this announcement, the Indian men’s team will begin the year with a white-ball series against Sri Lanka, consisting of three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals. These matches are scheduled to take place between January 3 and January 15.
Three days after the conclusion of the series in Sri Lanka
White-ball competition between India and New Zealand will consist of the same number of matches and will be finished on February 1st. Beginning on March 24, India and Australia will begin their competition in a series consisting of four Test matches followed by three One-Day International matches.
