When discussing the greatest quarterbacks of all time, it’s hard not to pick O’Brien. When Davey O’Brien was a starter in college, he went 15-4-2.
He was a consensus All-American, won one national title, one SWC title, and won the Heisman Trophy in 1938. He scored 24 touchdowns and had an incredible passer rating of 164.3.
Since 1981, the award for best college quarterback has been given in his honor. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1955.
