Babar Azam, former Pakistan captain, joined the select group of cricketers with 10,000+ T20 runs during his most recent appearance in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He became the fastest cricketer to achieve this achievement, as well as the 13th hitter to reach 10,000 runs in the shortest format.
Azam scored 10,000 runs in the sixth match of the 2018 Pakistan Super League between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday, February 21, at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

5. Aaron Finch 327 innings
Aaron Finch, a former Australian captain and Melbourne Renegades player, retired from professional cricket after his final season in the Big Bash League this year.
He scored 10,000 T20 runs in 327 innings throughout the 2021-22 competition.
Finch became only the second Australian cricketer to accomplish the milestone during his team’s encounter against the Perth Scorchers.
Finch retired after the 2023-24 season, having scored 11,458 runs at an average of 33.60 and a strike rate of 138.16.

Chris Gayle, one of the best cricketers to have ever represented the West Indies, made history by being the first player to do it in 285 innings.
He had held the record since 2017, until Babar just dethroned him. Gayle accomplished this milestone while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2017 Indian Premier League season.
He was on 9997 runs as he stepped up to bat, and he accomplished the mark in his 285th game of the format.
Gayle has played 463 T20 matches and presently holds the record for most runs in the format (14562).
