The FIDE July 1 Rating list is out. Breakdown of the Top 10, Alexandra Kosteniuk gained 11 points and re-entered the top 10 in the French Team Championship, while A. Giri and M. Vachier-Lagrave swapped places. The other three new players made the Top-100 Open list, the first is Shant Sargsyan, who broke into the list after having a good performance in the 13th Annual K. Asrian Memorial.

No change in the Top 10 rankings, as Candidates tournament takes place. Alexandra Kosteniuk gained 11 points to re-enter the top 10 in the French Team Championship, while Anish Giri and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave swapped places.
Three new players made the Top-100 Open list. The first is Shant Sargsyan, who broke into the list after having a good performance in the 13th Annual K. Asrian Memorial. Nils Grandelius and Etienne Bacrot also returned to the open after months of being on the sidelines.
Ashritha Eswaran is the clear winner because she performed three impressive feats. She won a PNWCC vs Bulgaria Memorial Day 2022 Match, and two other events. The 22-year old gained 86 points thanks to these achievements, earning her spot in the top 100.
Nodirbek Abdusattorov’s rating increased 27 points after he shared 1st place in the 5th Sharjah Masters and then picked up 8 more points in the Prague International Chess Festival. This talented youngster from Uzbekistan broke into the top 50 Open for the first time in his career.
Last month, Ulviyya Fataliyeva, Jolanta Zawadzka and Marsel Efroimski ranked very high in three strong open tournaments. By completing Teplice Open, the 5th Sharjah Masters, and Norway Chess Open all within one month of each other, they were awarded substantial points.
After the Masters event in Prague, Pentala Harikrishna became one of the standout players, earning 19 points.
Alexei Shirov has reached 2,700, 16 points higher after his victory over Jorden Van Foreest.
The French team in the FIWC 2022 had 16 and 12 players on the top rankings with Anton Korobov, Etienne Barcot, Andreea Navrotescu, and Anastasia Savina all ranking for their performance.
Iranian player Amin Tabatabaei continues to climb in the chess world. He won this tournament, which earned him 14 rating points.
