The Best Side of the Golden State Warriors: They’re Likely To Not Pursue Carmelo Anthony.
The Best Side of the Golden State Warriors: The Golden State Warriors have won four championships in the last eight seasons and it does not seem like they’re stopping.
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the Warriors are still very capable of producing wins. The youth in Golden State will only grow and produce more accolades throughout their career.
With the recent championship, a few of the notable players have signed free agency deals. Otto Porter Jr. has signed with the Toronto Raptors, Gary Payton II signed with Portland Trail Blazers, Damion Lee signed with Phoenix Suns, and Nemanja Bjelica signed with Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul overseas.
There are still a few open roster spots for the Warriors before the 2022-23 season starts. They recently made a move to sign veteran forward JaMychal Green in free agency after he had been waived by Oklahoma City.
Carmelo Anthony, a 10-time NBA All-Star and former scoring champion, remains an unrestricted free agent heading into the month of August. However, it does not seem as if he will be signing with Golden State, who could potentially be a contender for his services.
The Warrior’s team has not shown interest in signing Anthony and it is not possible for him to play with the team now.
Mac McClung, Pat Spencer and Trevion Williams have all signed deals with the Warriors and at least one of these players will earn a roster spot for next season. This 14th slot is possible due to the two-way contracts that are now unavailable.
Andre Iguodala, who is a 2017 Finals MVP and has been playing in the NBA since 2004, would be the 15th person on this list if he decides to return for one more season. Carmelo Anthony has been playing in the NBA since 2003, but right now it looks like he’s retiring soon.
It’s likely that Anthony will sign with a team before training camps start at the end of September. He’s a former star player who has received multiple awards in his career and is on the 75th Anniversary Team.
After a one year break, Carmelo Anthony might return to the Lakers, as his relationship with LeBron James is still good.
In preparation for the 20th NBA season, Anthony has played for
Denver Nuggets
New York Knicks
Oklahoma City Thunder
Houston Rockets
Portland Trail Blazers
Los Angeles Lakers.
