The Best Player In The IPL 2022
The Best Player In The IPL 2022.The IPL season has been full of ups and downs this season as defending champions, Chennai Super Kings have one of their worst seasons in the history of IPL. None assumed that a powerful team like Mumbai will fall in this season.
The biggest surprise of the year was the emergence of teams like the Gujarat Titans and the Lucknow Super Giants, who have thrived under new coaches. Hard fought games have already shown up on a scoreboard: 10 wins in 13 games for GT and eight wins in 13 games for LSG.
In addition, RR, a team that many had considered an underdog in this tournament has been really surprising. They ended up second on the points table in spite of not playing with their best performance.
We take a look at cricketers who have been outstading this season
JOS BUTTLER :
Buttler’s scoring is hot, scoring a century on the last day of the tournament for Kolkata Knight Riders and Hot Spot, claiming 117 runs off 65 balls.
Rajasthan got off to a great start with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Joe Buttler put an end to the batsman’s poor showing with strong innings.
KL RAHUL :
Experienced Rahul has led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in this season, providing leadership with the bat. He bagged Rs 17 crore from the team before auctioning up, and it has been followed by a league-best 67 wickets. Like Mitch Butler, he scored two centuries and each time it was against Mumbai Indians.
Here are his IPL stats this season: Matches: 13, Runs: 534, Average: 49.57,
Umran Malik :
During the 2017 IPL hosted by India, Umran Malik clocked a bowling average of less than 18 while also picking up a total of four wickets in each game. He also got his amazing record when he clocked 154 kmph in an over twice. This amazing speed was the fastest ever seen for this season and even during his last game, Umran gave away 34 runs in an over with 4 wickets to show for it. He’s got these stats: 12 matches, 44 overs, 397 runs, and 18 wickets
David Warner
David Warner has been a standout player for Delhi in the recently concluded T10 Cricket League 2018-19. The dismissal mid-way through his career had rejuvenated Warner who was acquired by Delhi at 6.25 crore.
Yuvendra Chahal
Yuvendra Chahal was instrumental in leading Rajasthan to the number two position this season. He also took a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders in a match, where he dismissed Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Mavi, and Pat Cummins in quick succession.
Rajasthan would be glad to take home the cup and one of the biggest reasons would be Chahal’s performance. Rajasthan have won 13 of the 24 wickets he’s taken to lead the table in that category. His economy rate has also been 7.61, a contribution to smaller figures than we’d expect given his bowling aggression.
