The wind tunnel is part of the new factory project at Silverstone. The main facility is supposed to be occupied by May of next year, but the tunnel next to it won’t be used until next year Aston Martin.
The team currently works in the Mercedes tunnel in Brackley and will begin working on the AMR25 there once it is finished and tested to its full potential.
Dan Fallows, technical director, stated, “The target for the wind tunnel is to be online in the middle of 2024.” We anticipate that will, at a minimum, contribute to the 25. That may be the first automobile to have a significant impact on the new tunnel, depending on how the commissioning and other aspects of the tunnel go.
Fallows said that switching to a new wind tunnel takes a lot of work, and the team won’t use it until everything is perfectly correlated.
He stated, “When you build a wind tunnel, you must invariably go through a commissioning process.” And that is really just to make sure it will show you the numbers you expect.
We are fortunate to be testing in the Mercedes wind tunnel, which is a high-quality facility; consequently, we must ensure that our new facility produces results that are consistent with those.
Additionally, that does require some time. However, there are steps we can take to expedite that procedure. Naturally, our goal is to enter as soon as possible.
Fallows emphasized that the team will greatly benefit from a cutting-edge in-house tunnel.
It will, without a shadow of a doubt, be a facility of the highest quality, and being able to use it whenever necessary round-the-clock is obviously crucial.
Schumacher drives with skill. His points finishes in Silverstone and Austria demonstrated his ability to perform. However, they were only glimmers in an otherwise frustratingly erratic performance series.
You must be able to deliver when it matters when racing for a team like Haas, which currently strives for consistency but actually has a few weekends where they are competitive for points.
This year, Schumacher’s pain was made worse by his sluggish adjustment to the cars from 2022. Schumacher failed to score and suffered two major crashes during the same run, whereas Magnussen scored on his unexpected return as a replacement for Nikita Mazepin and scored 15.
Not only did those two shunts damage Schumacher’s pride and confidence, but they also cost Haas a lot of money and made them less confident that Schumacher would be a driver for them after the season was over.
was unfortunate for Schumacher because the car was unable to score points on weekends when he was the stronger driver.
While he was defeated 16-6 in the head-to-head qualifying competition, he won the Grand Prix 11 times to Magnussen’s six. Additionally, he was ahead by 566 laps, compared to 462. Yet, that is the manner in which it goes in Recipe 1.
And in a close midfield where the final championship position and the prize money are so important, Haas want points, which is why they have dropped Schumacher and will bring back Nico Hulkenberg next season.
Schumacher has been squeezed out of a spot on the grid for the upcoming season, whereas in previous years, he would likely have found another season somewhere. Given that Formula One is perhaps the most competitive it has been in years, with the level of ultimate talent being high,
