Viktor Leonenko, a former player for Ukraine, has criticized Arsenal fullback Oleksandr Zinchenko for his performance in the loss to England. He launched shots at the defender and claimed that his fellow countryman was responsible for the game’s two goals.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka scored in the primary half to assist the Three Lions in winning 2-0 at Wembley on Sunday (Walk 26). Throughout the game, the away team was forced to defend as they failed to score.
Leonenko claimed, in an interview with FanDay following the match, that Ukraine captain Zinchenko had a terrible game and was to blame for both goals. He stated, “Once more, our chiefs have headed off to someplace. It is the same as it was under Oleksandr Petrakov, the previous coach.
Simply put, he was held accountable for everything. Ruslan Malinovsky is where? Is Zinchenko still there? The goals were scored from his and Mudryk’s zones. Why is it that nobody talks about how many tackles Zinchenko had? This is plainly evident.”
Before the game, he also made fun of the Arsenal player by saying: “Zinchenko’s defense is very weak. Zinchenko is weaker as a defender than Mykolenko is. Oleksandr is a midfielder by nature. He clearly benefits more from playing midfield. Zinchenko is great in the assault. However, he is unable to defend.”
Added: “Zinchenko is a good football player, but not a great one. Even though he has won the England Cup four times, he didn’t much help Manchester City win.”
Oleksandr Zinchenko wants Bukayo Saka, a teammate of his at Arsenal, to pay :
England prevailed 2-0 over Ukraine thanks to the second goal scored by Bukayo Saka. Zinchenko claimed that he wants to exact immediate retribution on the forward, despite his delight at seeing his Arsenal teammate perform so well.
He stated the following to Hayters TV: “I hope he (Saka) continues to perform like this until the end of the season. He is such a crucial Arsenal player. The major players control the outcome of these games. England) had two scoring opportunities in the first half. After that, it was challenging to produce something. He is a phenomenal player. We knew that.
Until the end of the season, I wish him the best because he is currently on fire. There are no companions on the pitch. He unfortunately did me wrong. But I’ll exact my revenge!” On their return to the Premier League this weekend (April 1), Arsenal will play Leeds United.
