Texas Longhorns Emerged As The Winner Of 2022 NCAA Men’s National Championship. The Texas Longhorns emerged as the fourth national champion by holding Arizona State’s late charge victory with 3-2 figures. He turned the tables on Wednesday against Cameron Sisk. Vick two-putted at a distance of 30 feet on the 18th hole. Vicks had three holes left and missed a 15-foot par putt to face the loss.
Sisk had a chance to turn the game into a tie at a moment when he left an 8-foot birdie putt short. He pulled his second shot to four feet and Vicks Putt was left to win the championship. He hit it and allowed the Longhorns to go ahead with their first national title win since 2012. Although the competition was tough, somehow they were able to get past the same.
Arizona Managed To Give Tough Competition
Texas managed to grab an early win after playing in their second national championship match. They had been trying for the past three years and the players were able to round the game towards finish this time. Arizona State was able to give a close competition and that is what led to some tense moments in the game too.
Parker Coody, a senior player of Texas and national runner up came with the lauds for James Leow 6 and 5. He even found Mason Andersen’s game amazing. Later, Arizona was able to tie the championship with a 3-2 win over Cole Hammer.
A twin of Coody, Pierceson Coody ended his game with Preston Summerhays 2 and 1. He was even getting up and down on the short par-4 17th on Grahawk’s Raptor Course. Preston did try but missed a four-foot birdie before Coody’s fall.
Mason Nome had a one-up lead but David Puig was able to tie the game with a birdie on No.17. Mason went up straight for hitting the tree left fairway on the 520-yard par-4 18th hole. It left him 243 yards to the green. He made a 20-foot par putt after missing a birdie and sending him to match the additional holes.
He spun the ball off the par-4 10th hole but missed holes 2 and 1. However, with Vicks securing the title yards away was a sigh of relief.
