Indian women registered their 3rd win and moved two plays up after beating women Bangladesh in the 6th match played on Tuesday, Mar 22, 2022, here at Hamilton.
This was a must-win match for women in blue to make their position for the semi-finals.
Team India had to register a big win over Bangladesh to keep their chances high to move in another phase of the tournament.
India had already lost the match against Australia, New Zealand, and also England in the last four encounters.
Smriti and Shafali gave a solid start after winning the toss by Indian captain Mithali Raj.
Shefali’s quick start with 42 in 42 and 30 runs of Smriti played a good foundation.

After a good batting performance by the batters, the Indian bowler took the responsibility to all-out the Bangladeshi women in only 119 runs.
Sneh Rana took the most wickets from the Indian side. Her 4 wickets with giving just 30 runs helped India to defeat Bangladesh with a big margin.
