India players practice a lot in Bengaluru’s nets before their third T20I match against Afghanistan. Aakash Chopra, a former Indian opener, has examined Rohit Sharma’s style of dismissals in the current series with Afghanistan.
Though he may not change his approach despite the losses, he believes that the right-handed batsman was attempting to play aggressive cricket.
“In a video that he uploaded to YouTube, Chopra said, “The way Rohit played in the initial two matches, it looked like he was assuming an ultra-aggressive mode, that he would try to hit every ball and do that without getting set. He was once run out. He was out of the first ball in Indore there as well, hitting Fazalhaq Farooqi after stepping out.”
“You inquire as to whether he will be perceived to bat a little differently in Bengaluru,” he continued. He’s going to attempt to bat similarly, I think. When Rohit Sharma is aggressive, he performs at the highest level. He demonstrated it by performing it reliably in the World Cup of ODIs as well. In the end, it had an impact.”
India players practice a lot in Bengaluru’s nets before their third T20I match against Afghanistan
Before the third Twenty20 International against Afghanistan, Team India players put in a lot of practice in the nets. With victories in the opening two games in Mohali and Indore, the hosts have already effectively won the series. Wednesday, January 17 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will be the site of the series’ last game.
So far in the series, Shivam Dube has been the most impressive player and has been instrumental at the bat. Batting at No. 4, he scored two aggressive half-centuries throughout the chases. With his medium-pace bowling, he also claimed two wickets, providing India with a strong substitute for the injury-prone Hardik Pandya.
In the meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has struggled at bat, being dismissed for a duck in each of the two games. On Wednesday, he will be itching to get some runs under his belt and rediscover his groove in the T20 format.
In advance of the third Twenty20 International, BCCI posted a few images to Instagram to provide supporters a peek into the Indian team’s practice session in Bengaluru. After a time, Rishabh Pant, who is training at NCA as part of his recovery, met with his colleagues and was present as well.
