T20I first ranker team India will look for a much better showing than their group stage elimination in 2021, and have brought talented superstars to Australia. The withdrawal of the best pacer Jasprit Bhumrah and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is a blow for the team blues but India will be confident they have the depth of many more players to cover the absence of the star pace bowler.

After unofficial warmups match with New Zealand and Australia. India is to clash with Pakistan on 23 October at the Melbourne cricket ground, which is sold out. After Pakistan, team India played with Bangladesh and South Africa, as well as two qualifiers from the first round.
