Australia will host the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup for men from October 16 to November 13. The prize money that the winning team, the runner-up, and others will receive at the conclusion of the 16-team tournament was announced by the game’s governing body, the International Cricket Council, on Friday.
Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa are the eight teams out of the 16 that made it directly to the Super 12 phase. The other eight teams were South Africa. The remaining eight teams will compete in the first round: Namibia, Sri Lanka, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe in Group B; West Indies, Scotland, Ireland, and Zimbabwe in Group A.
How many winners Will Get?
- This time, there is a total prize pool of USD 5.6 million.
- The staggering sum of USD 1.6 million will be awarded to the winner of the world cup 2022.
- The second-place team will receive half of the winning team’s prize money. That is USD 800,000.
- For the losing semifinalists and USD 400,000.
- The eight teams that fail to advance to the Super 12 stage will get USD 70,000.
- It will be worth USD 40,000 to win each of the 30 Super 12 games. The same applies to last year.
- There will be a USD 40,000 prize for any first-round victory.

The prize money is given to the participating nations’ cricket boards by the ICC.Except for cash prizes for individual performances, the International Cricket Council does not pay players any salary or prize money. Examples include “Man of the Match.”
