Global No.3 Sukant Kadam wins the Peru Para-Badminton International on December 5 in Lima, Peru (ANI): At the recently concluded Peru Para-Badminton International, World No. 3 Sukant Kadam defeated ace shuttler Chee Hiong Ang of Singapore to win the gold medal.
India won a total of 14 medals—six gold, one silver, and seven bronze
Sukant kept up with his predominance right from the word go in the finals. He crushed Chee Hiong Ang in straight sets with a score line of 21-14 and 21-15. There were 32 minutes of play. The pro shuttler didn’t put a foot wrong and had an incredible last.
Sukant Kadam stated, “I am really happy with the result, I have been training hard,” in reference to the same issue. I’ve had a good year, and I hope my consistency will continue next year.
Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan and Mandeep Kaur won the SH6 and SL3 singles titles in the women’s division.
Nithya defeated Giuliana Poveda Flores of Peru 21-6, 21-13, while Mandeep defeated Oksana Kozyna of Ukraine 21-11, 21-11.
In their respective divisions, the Indian men’s doubles team of Nehal and Breno Johann (SL3-SL4) and the women’s doubles team of Parul Parmar and Vaishali Nilesh Patel (SL3-SU5) won gold medals.
Nehal and Breno from India defeated Renzo Diquez Bances Morales and Pedro Pablo De Vinatea from Peru 21-16, 21-13, while Parul and Vaishali beat Kelly Edith Ari Escalante and Mandeep from Peru 21-17, 21-19.ANI)
