Stan Wawrinka, a Swiss tennis player, recently spoke about Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic’s total number of Grand Slam titles. Wawrinka last played in the Open 13 tournament in Marseille, where he lost to Arthur Fils in the quarterfinals. On his way to the last eight, he defeated Richard Gasquet and Zizou Bergs.
Stan Wawrinka then appeared on a recent episode of the ATP Tennis Radio Podcast and was asked how many Grand Slam titles Novak Djokovic, who has won 22 Majors, will win. The Swiss responded that the precise number cannot be determined until the Serb has completed his tennis match. He also said that he is “excited” to see what happens at the French Open, the season’s next Grand Slam.
We all want to know that, but we won’t know until he finishes. However, he has been incredible for more than 15 years. He has been there and triumphed over everything.
“So physically and mentally strong, so clean in his play, so difficult to beat. Yes, I am eager to learn what will transpire at this year’s Grand Slam,” he added.
After that, Wawrinka talked about Rafael Nadal and said that both Djokovic and Nadal are doing well now that Roger Federer, another Big-3 member, has retired. The 22-time Grand Slam champions continue to “surprise us without surprising us,” he added.
“They have been so successful. Rafa [Nadal] is still here, despite Roger [Federer’s] retirement last year. He has 22 Grand Slam titles, so they never fail to impress us because everyone knows how good they are.” Wawrinka said.
” I regret not being able to attend Carlos’ performance at this fantastic Vegas event. ” – Rafael Nadal
The fact that Rafael Nadal has pulled out of an exhibition match in Las Vegas suggests that he might also pull out of Indian Wells late. Along with Carlos Alcaraz, he was scheduled to compete in the MGM Rewards The SLAM presented by Chase Sapphire on Sunday, March 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The event announced Nadal’s withdrawal on February 17 and added two new players to the lineup: Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz. Given that the Spaniard suffered a hip injury during his loss to Mackenzie McDonald in the second round of the Australian Open, his withdrawal from the match did not come as a surprise. He also pulled out of the Dubai Tennis Championships and the Qatar Open.
