India started very well in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraja made his position for the semi-finals in the swimming events. Similarly, Indian experience boxer Ship Thapa beat the Pakistani boxer in a one-sided match and moved to the next round. Indian women’s table tennis team beat South Africa on the first day of CWG 2022.
The Indian Women’s cricket team is also playing their opening match against World Champion Australia in the Commonwealth Games 2022. Cricket is going back in the CWG. The women’s cricket is going to participate first time in the event. All commonwealth countries are ready to take part in the current edition of CWG. Indian Swimmer Srihari qualified for the semi-finals
Indian swimmer Srihari Nataraja who comes from Kerala has qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m backstroke event. Nataraja finished third in Heat-3 with a timing of 54.68 seconds. Srihari Nataraja got rank 5th overall.
Before him, another Indian swimmer Kushagra Rawat failed to qualify for the men’s 400m freestyle swimming final. Kushagra finished last in the 8-player heat. He clocked 3:57.45.
The one-sided win for Shiv Thapa against Pakistani player
Indian Boxer Shiv Thapa started well in the Commonwealth Games 2022. He defeated Sulaiman Baloch of Pakistan to move into the next round of the Boxing event in the 65 Kg category. Similarly, the Indian team got victory won over South Africa in Table Tennis.
Shiv Thapa has advanced to the next round by defeating Pakistani boxer Suleman Baloch 5-0 in the 65kg weight category. It was a one sided win for the Indian Boxer. He clearly dominated in all three rounds of the match and won the match by the clear judgment of 5-0.
