India is getting ready for Asia Cup as we know that this tournament is going to start in Sri Lanka but due to some internal problems in Sri Lanka, this is not possible.

Sri Lanka Cricket has categorically refused to host the Asia Cup on Wednesday, informing the Asian Cricket Council about its situation.

Sri Lanka is not going to host Asia Cup
The pictures are still not clear about the place of Asia Cup 2022. But, it has become clear from this news that it will not be organized in Sri Lanka.
This statement has been issued after SLC postponed the third edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) due to the ongoing crisis in the country.
Sri Lanka Cricket has asked the Asian Cricket Council for its position to host the upcoming edition of the Asia Cup T20I citing the economic and political crisis in the country.
The Asia Cup is scheduled to be concluded in August and September this year ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia.
Statement Given by ACC on Asia Cup
SLC officials said that they would like to host the tournament in the UAE or any other country.
“UAE is not the last option for this tournament but some other country can take this venue Even if India wants to organize this event, then we need to talk to the officials of the Emirates Cricket Board before getting the final approval for the event from Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
“Sri Lanka Board describes that this is not possible due to ongoing political and economic situation in especially where foreign exchange is a problem even the country is not in a position to host such a six-team mega-event.”
All Asian teams are all set to participate in this cup and very soon venue of this tournament is also decided.
