Racial remarks were made to Indian fans during the fifth Test between India- England Test series in Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham. Now Warwickshire County has taken a remarkable step regarding this. They will take the help of spies to keep racism and discrimination away from England cricket. The English cricket board had posted on social media saying that we are deeply saddened to read this. And we strongly condemn such behavior.
They also said we are deeply concerned to hear of reports of racist abuse in the Test matches. Similarly, We are in contact with Edgbaston officials who will investigate the matter. There should be no place for racism in cricket
India is going to play again in Edgbaston
The 2nd T20 match of the India-England T20 series will play at Edgbaston on Saturday 9 July. Warwickshire County has made their preparation for it, Undercover crowd spotters will be deployed in this match. These people will remain among the audience. They will be on alert to sense any such incident involving racism or discrimination. Along with them, more policemen will also stand for this match.
Team India’s spectator wrote in his post on social media. He said Indian fans are facing racial abuse at Eric Holly’s stand. Similarly, another user had told in the post. He had to face racism during the Test match between India and England. He also described had never experienced anything like this in any other match. Hence via social media, the matter came to light, and the ECB, as well as Edgbaston officials, had also apologized and assured to conduct of an investigation.

During the 3rd Test match in Sydney played in Australia in 2020-21, Australian supporters also made racial remarks against the Indian player Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah. Both had to fall prey to comments for two consecutive days in the Sydney Test.
