India captain Rohit Sharma‘s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, was pleased when her husband scored a record sixth T20I century against Afghanistan on Wednesday in Bengaluru.
Ritika labeled it a historic occasion since Rohit became the first player to score five centuries in T20Is.
The reply came after Rohit blasted an unbroken 121 runs off 69 balls, including eight sixes and eleven boundaries.
With the century, he also regained form after two ducks in his T20I comeback after more than 14 months.
Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh put on an unbeaten 190-run partnership after India struggled at 22/4 in Bengaluru after deciding to bat first.
The Men in Blue reached 212/4 in the allotted 20 overs, with Rinku scoring a fast 69.

Rohit Sharma addressed the importance of his combination with Rinku Singh as the hosts scored more than 200 runs against Afghanistan in the third and final Twenty20 International.
The 36-year-old also praised Rinku for imitating his Indian Premier League success on the international stage.
The match lasted 43.3 overs, with India winning the second Super Over when Ravi Bishnoi successfully defended 12 runs.
That occurred as both teams returned with identical scores of 212 and 16 in the match and first Super Over, respectively. India presently leads Afghanistan 3-0 in the Twenty20 International series.
The Rohit Sharma-led team will then play a five-match home Test series against England. Beginning on January 25 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
