Spain’s Ramos is upset at his disqualification from the World Cup
In order to leave out seasoned players like Ramos, midfielder Thiago Alcantara, defender Marcos Alonso, and goalkeeper David de Gea, Spain manager Luis Enrique revealed his 26-man roster for the competition in Qatar.
Ramos, 36, who left Real Madrid for PSG last year after 16 trophy-laden years there, issued an emotional statement to his supporters after being denied the opportunity to play in his fifth World Cup.
I gave my entire being—body and soul—to my recovery and return to my previous state of feeling… Fortunately, I can state that this football season, I feel like myself once more and am once more loving the game,” Ramos stated on Instagram.
A World Cup? It seems to reason that I wanted to fulfil this enormous goal. Sadly, I’ll have to watch it at home instead of going to my fifth, it would have been my fifth,” Ramos added.
In 2010, Ramos and Spain won the World Cup.
The sun will still rise in the morning, whatever how difficult it is, he remarked. Nothing about me would I change. not the way I think. That’s not my thing. Not based on my devotion, effort, or commitment.
Prior to their World Cup debut against Costa Rica, Spain plays Jordan in a friendly on Thursday.
