SINGLE & PAIR SKATING / ICE DANCE. On June 9, 2022, the 58th Ordinary ISU Congress resumed with separate Sessions for the Figure Skating and Speed Skating Branches.

There were four sets of Technical Rules given at the Figure Skating Branch Session: General Technical Rules, Single and Pair Skating Technical Rules, Ice Dance Technical Rules, and Synchronized Skating Technical Rules.
Proposals
Urgent Proposals 3, 4, and Proposals 174 to 198, 222 to 225, and 158 were all approved by the delegates. An earlier proposal, number 192, was turned down, and a later one, number 176, was rescinded.
Resolution 163 was adopted yesterday after the withdrawal of proposal 163. The Hungarian Delegation put out the proposal. Congress accepted to mandate In order to assess potential changes and amendments to Rule 400 (Olympic Winter Games Qualification System for Figure Skating disciplines) and related provisions in the ISU Statutes, the ISU Council should set up a working group. This group should then prepare a proposal for the 2024 Congress.
Workshops on June 6 focused on the technical rules, which were voted on as a group today. As part of the General Technical rules, Proposals 199 through 207 were adopted with revisions to 201. Specifically, the Technical Rules for Single and Pair Skating (208-214), Ice Dance (215-221), and Synchronized Skating (226-249) were all accepted.
