Shoaib Malik might not make comeback in T20 after missing out in Asia Cup Squad. Recently, the Asia Cup Squad was announced by countries for the Asia Cup starting from 27 August. Pakistan announced their squad without Shoaib Malik that grabbed eyeballs. Many people thought it was a good move while some were skeptical about the decision. The Pakistan Cricket Board stated that they want to give opportunities to younger players.
Pakistan is going to play 3 ODI matches against netherland before the Asia Cup. Pakistani captain Babar Azam has ruled out Shoab Malik in the T20 Cup in Australia.
Shoaib Mallik played the last of his 124 T20s at international level last year in November. He played the last T20 against Bangladesh, last year. He played well in Pakistan T20 League and domestic matches.

In an interaction with media, Babar Azam said” There are matches directly after the netherland tour, so there won’t be time for any changes. When senior players leave the side, the players replacing them need some focus. Mohammed Hafeez, Shoaib Malik were huge players, we are going to miss them a lot.
Players like Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Khushdil Shah need to fill their boots.” Pakistani Team ruled Shoaib Malik from Asia Cup Squad. It looks like they will rule out the former captain in the T20 Squad in the World Cup as well.
