Saraya Remarks On Commendation From WWE Stars Following AEW Presentation Match
On Saturday, November 19, Saraya (previously known as Paige in WWE) had her first match in quite a while after a vocation-undermining neck injury put her on the rack.
However, Saraya switched to AEW rather than WWE, where she defeated their former Women’s Champion Britt Baker at the Full Gear pay-per-view. She told “TMZ Sports” that wrestlers in both AEW and WWE gave her “a ton of support.”
She stated, “I feel like even WWE will not stop someone from congratulating someone who did something so incredible like that.” That’s an inspiring thing, but I don’t think they would be mad at Bayley or anyone like that.”
Despite the fact that she never had anything negative to say about WWE when making her decision, Saraya doesn’t want any friction between her and her previous employer. She felt that Tony Khan’s freedom regarding her character and matches was convincing, and she was hoping for a fresh start.
It would appear that both businesses want Saraya to continue her healthy and significant return to wrestling, regardless of her decision.
“Having both sides be so supportive felt really good. After the match, when I got backstage, everyone said, “Yay!” It was just really, really nice to see all the WWE crew blowing up my phone, as well as coming up to me and giving me a hug. It felt really amazing.”
It would appear that Saraya will compete in the AEW Women’s Championship. In recent episodes of “Rampage” and “Dynamite,” Jamie Hayter was mentioned as a possible opponent.
