Saim Ayub to make his debut in the third Test between AUS and PAK
Pakistan has made two changes ahead of Wednesday’s third and final Test against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
While Saim Ayub will replace Imam-ul-Haq at the top of the order, the visitors are said to have rested pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi for an extra spinner.
Imam got only one half-century in four innings despite having played in the previous Tests. However, he has played far too many dots, striving to twist his strike and put away weak balls.
Meanwhile, Ayub has previously played eight T20Is but failed to create an impression. The 21-year-old, on the other hand, has a good first-class record, averaging 46.47 in 14 matches with three half-centuries and three centuries.
Important Points
- Shaheen Shah Afridi will miss the last Test match.
- Pakistan’s Test XI for Sydney has been altered.
- Imam-ul-Haq has been replaced by Saim Ayub.
Pakistan has not won a Test match in Australia since 1995
Pakistan hasn’t won a Test in Australia since 1995, despite their most recent victory was at the SCG.
Shan Masood and his colleagues were swept away by Australia in the first Test on a rough Perth track.
After winning the toss, Pakistan were significantly more competitive in the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), restricting Australia’s famed batting line-up to 318.
