ISRO’S Chandrayaan-3 was successfully launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Friday, July 14.
Achieving a key milestone in space exploration.
Now that the satellite has been placed into the desired orbit, it may depart from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, and travel to the moon. The satellite was placed into the injected orbit by the launch vehicle Mk III LV3. On August 23 or 24, the landing is anticipated.
For those who are unfamiliar, Chandrayaan-3 is a lander, rover, and indigenous propulsion module designed to test and develop new technologies needed for interplanetary missions.
In order to examine Earth’s spectral and polarimetric measurements from the lunar orbit, it also carries a payload called Spectro-Polarimetry of Habitable Planetary Earth (SHAPE).
The cricket community applauded ISRO for the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3, with Sachin Tendulkar, Shikhar Dhawan, and Suresh Raina among those who did so. Tweeted Tendulkar:
The aspirations, pride, and conviction of 1.4 billion Indians are carried by ISRO’s payloads. The successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 fills our hearts with joy. All of our scientists deserve praise for their tireless efforts. A day to remember for all Indians. I salute you.
Information on the ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 launch
On Friday, ISRO launched a 642-ton heavy lift rocked LVM3 rocket from Sriharikota carrying the Chandrayaan-3 satellite. At 2:35:17 IST, the rocket launched from the launch site.
The change follows Chandrayaan-2’s soft lunar landing attempt in 2019 which was unsuccessful owing to a technical error. Between the two missions, the new satellite’s lander parameters and payload experiments differ.
Dr. S. Unnikishnan Nair, Director of VSSC, ISRO, discussed the development and said:
This is LVM3’s seventh successful mission. With this, LVM3 has a 100% success rate. The best vehicle for #Gaganyaan is this one.
The success of the satellite’s successful separation from the LVM3-M4 rocket was later confirmed by the scientists. To start its voyage to the moon, the satellite was launched into the desired orbit.
India’s space odyssey enters a new chapter with Chandrayaan-3. Every Indian’s aspirations and hopes are elevated as it soars high. This outstanding accomplishment is evidence of our scientists’ unwavering commitment. I applaud their creativity and spirit!
India would become the fourth nation to accomplish the feat after the United States, Soviet Union, and China with a successful landing.
