In an effort to win the elusive title, the franchises are currently getting ready for the first event of the highly anticipated SA20, which begins today. The six franchises recruited up to five players of their choice through independent negotiations to form their core. One of those players had to be an uncapped cricketer from South Africa.
The teams spent a lot of money at the first SA20 auction after building a squad. The most expensive acquisition was a talented batter named Tristan Stubbs. Jofra Archer, Aaron Phangiso, Akila Dananjaya, Andile Phehlukwayo, Senuran Muthusamy, and Jordan Hermann were selected as wildcard players prior to the start of the season. Now that the tournament is about to begin, let’s take a look at how each team has developed in preparation for their first game.
