India is to continue the rivalry with Pakistan in the T20I format of the ICC World cup. On 23 October it is all set for India to clash with Pakistan. Fans are eagerly waiting for this occasion. Today Rohit Sharma won the toss and opt to field first. At the time of the toss, Captain ROHIT SHARMA said that” today as a team we have decided to enter the match with 7 batsmen in playing eleven”.
The match is set to play in Melbourne on Sunday. It is the first world cup for Rohit Sharma as a captain and a big opportunity to replicate the success of MS Dhoni. In 2007 team India defeated Pakistan to win the world cup.
Rohit added “we are looking to play with 7 batsmen and looks like a good pitch, it’s always with overcast conditions. It looks like the ball will swing a bit. Although the preparation has been good, we played the practice matches in Brisbane earlier with Australia. It’s time to come out and enjoy ourselves. We have seen batters, two spinners and three seamers on the pitch.”
After losing the toss Pakistan captain BABAR AZAM said that he also want to field first. He added that the team would look to post 160 to 170 runs on runs on the scoreboard.
“Toss is a game of luck and it is not in our hands to win, unfortunately, we lost the toss. We are ready for this match. We have test series back with England, we played a tri-series against New Zealand . . we play the match with three fast bowlers and two spinners” BABAR AZAM said.
