Rohit Sharma, the right-hand opening batsman, is the captain of the Indian Cricket Team. He is known for his outstanding performance in limited-overs cricket matches.
Besides being a successful batsman, he is also a right-arm off-break bowler. He played the domestic cricket and that too for the Mumbai team. Rohit is also the captain of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Mumbai Indians have won the IPL 5 times under his captaincy. Career
Rohit Sharma, the most outstanding Indian captain of the present time, started his career in 2005. He debuted in the Deodhar Trophy and played for West Zone against the Central Zone. His current teammates, Cheteswar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja, also debuted in the same matches. He made his Ranji debut in 2006-2007 and scored 205 runs in 267 balls.
Rohit Sharma made his first-class cricket debut in 2006 against New Zealand at Darwin. His test debut was against West Indies in 2013, and his One-day debut was in 2007 against England. He also made his T-20 debut in 2007 against England.

Personal life
Rohit Sharma was born in 1987, on 30th April, in Nagpur Maharastra. His mother is Purnima Sharma, and his father is Gurunath Sharma. Rohit was brought up by his uncles and grandparents in Borivali.
His uncle helped Sharma to join a cricket camp. The cricket coach of that camp, Dinesh Lad, asked him to change his school to Swami Vivekanand International School. At first, he denied changing as he could not afford the cost. But Dinesh Lad helped him get a scholarship so that he could continue playing cricket for a long time. He got married to Ritika Sajdeh in 2015 December and got blessed with a baby girl. Rohit Sharma is the present captain of the Indian Cricket Team and holds a net worth of $24 million till 2022.
