Rishabh Pant is always a better option than Dinesh Karthik according to Ajay Jadeja
Rishabh Pant is always a better option than Dinesh Karthik according to Ajay Jadeja: There has been a heated discussion regarding the Indian cricketer behind the stumps. In the three matches of the Asia Cup, Dinesh Karthik featured in the first match. Rishabh Pant joined Dinesh Karthik in the second match against Hong Kong. But in the third match, against Pakistan, Pant replaced Dinesh Karthik.
The Indian Cricket management also seems confused about the position behind the stumps. Dinesh Karthik is in his form and has a finishing ability. On the other hand, Rishabh pant is the only left-hand batsman on the Indian cricket team.
Jadeja’s opinion
Rishabh Pant is a better option compared to Dinesh Karthik according to the former batter, Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja gave his opinion about the changes to make in the Indian team.
“I think Hooda will be replaced by Axar Patel. You have Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli as the top order, if they fire, you would not even need a finisher. When they get out, that’s when a finisher is needed. For me, Rishabh Pant is always a better option than Dinesh Karthik,”
He also said that Deepak Hooda will be a better option when compared to Axar Patel.
Inzamam-ul-Haq’s statement
The Ex-Pakistan cricket player gave his statement about the line-up in the Indian cricket team squad. He said that the omission of Dinesh Kartik shows weakness in the Indian cricket team. Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the absence of Dinesh Kartik shows panic in the team India camp.
“With all the changes they made, India looked like they were under pressure. They should not make these many changes. Dinesh Karthik did not face a ball and still lost his place in the playing XI. The team which India announced, I saw a little panic with it,”
Many have questioned the decision of the Indian team to remove Dinesh Karthik in the third match. People questioned this decision keeping in mind that the match against Pakistan was a crucial one. After the underwhelming show of Rishabh Pant against Pakistan, there is hope for Karthik’s return to the Indian team.
