Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant met with an accident on Friday while going from Delhi to his home in Roorkee. He is being treated at Max Hospital in Dehradun. He has undergone plastic surgery on his face on Friday.
Pant suffered injuries on his forehead, right wrist, right knee, ankle, and thumb. He has a torn ligament in his right knee.
BCCI’s medical team will treat the ligament
According to media reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India does not want to take any care regarding Pant’s treatment.
He can be shifted from Dehradun to Mumbai so that his ligament can be treated under the supervision of the BCCI medical team. Not only this, but BCCI can also send him abroad for treatment if needed.
In the health update released by the hospital late on Friday night, it was said that his brain and spine MRI reports have come normal. He has had plastic surgery on his face. MRI of Pant’s knee and ankle has been postponed due to pain and swelling.
Both these tests will be held on Saturday. It was told in the bulletin- ‘Initially, there were many scratch marks on the front part of his right hand and leg. Also, there are wounds on the forehead. There were several scratch marks on his back.
The Prime Minister also spoke to his mother
Here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern over Pant’s accident. He wrote- ‘I am distressed by the injury of cricketer Rishabh Pant in the accident. I pray for his good health. The PM spoke to his mother over the phone and also inquired about her well-being.
Anupam Kher and Anil Kapoor reached Dehradun to see Pant
Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher reached Max Hospital in Dehradun on Saturday to see Pant. He also met Pant’s mother. Took an update on his health from the doctors.
Talking to the media after meeting Pant, Anil Kapoor said that there is nothing to worry about.

The wicket-keeper batsman, on his way to his home in Roorkee from Delhi on Friday morning at 5.30 am, collided with the road divider at the turn of Hammadpur Jhal at Roorkee’s Narcan border. Later the car caught fire. Pant was seriously injured.
