The third practice of India vs County Championship XI is all set to take place today. However, Rishab Pant will not be a part of the series despite his recovering from Covid-19.
Indian cricket teams will be starting with the 2nd ODI in Colombo today against Sri Lanka. Rishabh Pant will not be featuring in the practice test match due to a few reasons.
While the player tests positive for the Covid-19 there was tension in the teams as it might end up affecting the test series. As the player is in the isolation and luckily there was no effect on the other players of the team. Thus making the situation calm.
It has already been 10 days since the player is recovered and the report for his test is negative. The payers won’t be joining in the practice matches as he is not at peak of his health. Needs more time to regain his fitness.
The Virat Kholi led team India will be entering the practice match without Rishab Pant in the team. One of the senior BCCI official states about the Pant.

“Even if Pant would have reached in time for the practice, he would have been given adequate rest to get back in peak physical condition. He has been asymptomatic but would need to train well ahead of th first Test in Nottingham.”
The another player who wont be a part of the game is Wridhhiman Saha. He is not covid-19 positive but he one of the closes friends with the Dayanand Garani which is why he is under isolation.
The wicket keeper for the match will be KL Rahul for the practice Test. Both the players will be back in the teams with the peak of their health.
They are expected to be entering the series with England this august.
