Rinku Singh joins India A team for second four-day encounter against Lions. Singh has been named to India’s A team for the second four-day encounter against the England Lions. Which begins on January 24 in Ahmedabad.
He has previously only been named in the team for the third and final game of the series.
Rinku, 26, has had a whirlwind five months and a bit since making his T20I debut against Ireland in August last year.
Singh was part of the team that won gold in the Hangzhou Asian Games before moving on to play T20Is against Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan.

Rinku made his One-Day International debut in South Africa in December of last year, playing two games.
He also received his first India A call-up ahead of the second four-day match against South Africa A at Benoni. But he did not make the playing XI.
Rinku was instead seen in the Indian dugout at SuperSport Park in Centurion during the Boxing Day Test. When he also played as a reserve fielder.

Rinku has played 46 first-class matches, scoring 3109 runs at an average of 57.57. He most recently represented Uttar Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy‘s third round match against Bihar at Meerut.
Due to fog and bad illumination, only 115 overs were possible throughout the four-day event, which ended on January 22.
He has yet to play for India A, but his selection comes as the selectors seek a replacement for Virat Kohli. Who opted out of the first two Tests against England due to personal reasons.
Rajat Patidar, Cheteshwar Pujara, Sarfaraz Khan, and B Sai Sudharsan are considered candidates.
