Capcom launches an anime series celebrating the heroes of Resident Evil 4 with charming graphics that seem to be a Studio Ghibli movie.
To commend the upcoming release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, Capcom has sent off a charming anime series following the adventures of Leon S. Kennedy and Ashley Graham. This series allows Resident Evil 4 fans to discover another version of these two characters, a long way from the dark esthetic of the video game. Resident Evil 4 is one of the most anticipated survival horror games coming out in year of 2023, revisiting the story of character Leon as he tries to save the US President’s daughter, Ashley, who was caught by a mysterious clique based in a provincial town in Spain.
The original version of Resident Evil 4 turned out in 2005 and was considered by a larger number of people to be one of the most mind-blowing video games ever made, winning some Game of the Year awards. Its remake, scheduled to release on Walk 24, has already gathered raving reviews praising its moodier tone and improved controls. Fully expecting the official release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, Capcom published the first episode of a vivified series on its official YouTube channel named Resident Evil 4 Anime PV Resident Evil Masterpiece Theater.
The first episode of this series, “Leon and the Mysterious Town,” showcases a charming version of the special specialist as he is looking for the US President’s daughter. Leon asks various villagers about Ashley’s whereabouts, just to find they all have red eyes and speak a language he doesn’t understand. One of the villagers ultimately stabs his head with a hatchet, causing rainbows to emerge, trailed by a message stating that he kicked the bucket. As the main people of Resident Evil 4 game then flies in the stars with rainbows and infected dogs running by his side, he mentions that dying is an amazing story.
While this first episode just lasts for less than a minute, Resident Evil 4 fans were glad to discover a charming anime version of their #1 survival horror game. In the comments of the video, players complimented Capcom for publishing such an original and charming story for a horror video game, stating they would cheerfully watch a full series of the adventures of Leon and Ashley. Following the success of The Last of Us HBO series and the rising notoriety of video game adaptations in other media, Resident Evil 4 fans trust Capcom will transform this series into an undeniable anime.
Until Capcom releases some more episodes, Resident Evil 4 players can get their hands on the Chainsaw demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 4 game remake. Some modders have already made this demo accessible on VR headsets, while others diverted Leon into CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and supplanted the infamous Chainsaw Man with Shrek, which makes for a frightening battle as the green monster tries to guillotine Leon with a numb look all over.
