Mandhana then hit a 52-ball 54 and combined 137 runs for the first wicket with Shafali Verma to enable the hosts to win by nine wickets.

Malhotra was questioned about Mandhana being the second Indian woman, after Harmanpreet Kaur, to reach the 3000-run mark in T20I cricket in her innings during a conversation on Sports 18.

The former India all-rounder praised the left-handed opener for outperforming strong opponents like as Australia and England.
In 122 T20I innings, Mandhana has scored 3052 runs at an average of 27.49. She had a better record versus Australia and England, totaling 1403 runs in 44 innings at an average of 34.22.
