Real Madrid star Karim Benzema has purportedly been offered an agreement worth a faltering €100 million from Saudi Arabia with the choice of picking his preferred club. The Frenchman appeared to have secured his future in the Spanish capital after signing a contract extension with Los Blancos until June 2024.
However, the government of Saudi Arabia has recently made him a fantastic offer. El Mundo, a Spanish newspaper, claims that Benzema is offered €100 million and has the option of joining any club. Additionally, he will own the image rights and his wages will be exempt from taxation.
It’s clearly an enticing deal and tolerating it could see him join his previous Genuine Madrid colleague Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr in December keep going year on a two-year agreement worth €200 million every year, in the Saudi Star Association.
In an effort to improve its chances of winning a bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, Saudi Arabia is putting in a lot of effort to bring in top players, including Lionel Messi. Real Madrid is sharp for Benzema to remain on, for he’s been one of the stalwarts of the club, having been there for 11 years at this point.
However, he turns 36 at the end of the year, and the 2022–23 season was plagued by fitness issues. He has only played 23 games this season in La Liga, where Los Blancos have lost their top-flight title to Barcelona, their archrival. A move away from Europe may be on his mind now that he is nearing the end of his career due to the lucrative Saudi offer.
Benzema has accomplished everything at Genuine Madrid, he can go at this point :
Karim Benzema has nothing left to prove now that he has accomplished everything at Real Madrid. If the striker did move to Saudi Arabia, he would still be remembered as a sports legend. In the wake of transitioning at Lyon, Benzema turned into a commonly recognized name following his Real Madrid move in 2009.
Since then, he has played for the team 647 times and scored 353 goals, more than any other player in their history (aside from Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 451). As far as prizes, he’s among the most embellished too with 24 titles, remembering four for La Liga and five in the Bosses Association.
Benzema also won the Ballon d’Or, the most prestigious individual award, last year. Benzema can finish his time in Europe and continue his career far from home in Saudi Arabia because he possesses a complete trophy cabinet containing all major collective and individual honors.
