Malang Sarr, a Chelsea misfit, is allegedly interested in joining Real Betis in the January transfer window to improve their defensive depth.
Sarr, 24, has slipped far down the Blues’ pecking order after returning from a loan spell with AS Monaco in the summer.

In the ongoing 2023-24 season, he has yet to appear in a game under Mauricio Pochettino.
As a result, Real Betis are looking to sign the Frenchman on a short-term loan switch this month, according to Spanish news site TodoFichajes.
They’ve been in negotiations with the west London firm for a few weeks now. And a deal is thought to be on the way. Real Betis and Chelsea are now at odds over the mooted loan transfer.
While the Blues hope to include a purchase clause, the La Liga club will only sign Sarr on a loan basis.
Sarr, played 119 times for his childhood club OGC Nice. He has made 21 appearances for Chelsea since signing a free transfer in 2020.
