The news of Ray’s passing shocked his loved ones, particularly his sister Diaymon Lewis and brother Rahsaan Lewis.

When speaking of her brother, Diaymon said, “Brownie, I love [you] with all of my heart.”
In her Instagram Story, she wrote, “You will always be my first love and genuinely are the definition of a perfect brother. Get some rest, my love, and know that you are in the company of the most generous and true person I know.
She also reposted a family photo that her father had uploaded for Father’s Day 2019 after his passing. The athlete wrote at the time, “God is the greatest Father ever; thank you for guiding me.” I’m grateful for them since they are the key to my heart, I said.
