Ravi Shastri Says ‘No’ to Being Indian Coach, He Wish To Continue As Spectator
Ravi Shastri Says ‘No’ to Being Indian Coach, He Wish To Continue As Spectator: Ravi Shastri, who was a notable player before his retirement, has gone on to become highly successful in the broadcasting arena. One unique quality of his is that he can leave viewers captivated with his powerful voice.
He brought back that same aura in victory when he first returned to the Indian dressing room as a manager, and later as a coach. Under his leadership, India expanded their horizons, especially when it came to cricket’s longest format. And though there were no ICC trophies during this time, India defeated Australia twice in a row at home and were able to dominate England in 2021.
Rahul Shastri said his time in coaching will come to an end after ending on a high note. Times Now talked to the former India coach and he said that he will be observing from the outside and participating in grassroots level coaching. Shastri has created a company that is doing coaching at the grassroots level, so his job as a coach for India is coming to an end.
India’s exit from the T20 World Cup put their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals in jeopardy. Shastri’s tenure ended last year after India suffered two straight losses – to Pakistan and New Zealand.
The Indian team lost the next three games – with Afghanistan, Namibia, and Scotland – and it was too late for Shastri to save India from getting knocked out of the tournament.
Shastri recently returned to the commentary box during the Indian Premier League. In his current role, Shastri is responsible for the conduct of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2022.
Ravi Shastri has had a long and distinguished career in both cricket and broadcasting, which has brought many successful moments for India. His coaching tenure ended last year after two consecutive losses left the team in danger of not qualifying for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. But even in his current role as commentator for the IPL, he is still able to leave a lasting impression on viewers with his powerful voice. Shastri is also responsible for running an organisation that coaches grassroots level cricket, so his work as a coach is coming to an end.
