Rahmanullah Gurbaz is optimistic that Rinku Singh will continue Dhoni and Yuvraj’s legacy. A recent social media sensation was a video featuring Gurbaz and Rinku. The Afghanistan keeper played a practical joke on the latter as he was dozing off on a plane. When Rinku awoke, she smiled in response.
Regarding Rinku personally and their friendship as KKR teammates, Gurbaz remarked, “Rinku is the salt of our team.” He is the type of person who brings happiness to others. He’s a fantastic guy and a really humorous guy. I adore him so much. We’re really close buddies. We do stay in contact even when the IPL is over.” For Afghanistan, Gurbaz has scored 1,271 runs in 49 T20Is and 1,238 runs in 35 ODIs.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz, an explosive keeper-battler for Afghanistan, is sure that Rinku Singh will continue the tradition of Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni as a finisher in white ball cricket. Gurbaz called his colleague for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) someone who works hard and is eager.
Rinku, 26, is off to a great start in his Twenty20 International career. With a strike percentage of 176.23 and an average of 89 through 11 innings, he has hammered out 356 runs, including two half-centuries.
Gurbaz was asked if he believed Rinku has what it takes to continue the tradition of players like Dhoni and Yuvraj during an interview with Sports Tak. Gurbaz stated:
“He can, of course. He is progressing at an extraordinary pace at the moment. His recent exploits with the Indian squad show that he is quite effective against every opposition. It demonstrates his youth and his ability to demonstrate that he is here to stay rather than merely join the squad and go. One positive thing about him is that he always puts forth a lot of effort and is hungry.
The 22-year-old complimented the Indian left-hander and said, “He’s a smart cricketer who can adapt to different conditions.”
In the third Twenty20 International match played in Bengaluru against Afghanistan, Rinku struck for 69* off 39 and combined with Rohit Sharma for 190* off 69 to take the fifth wicket.
