Qualifiers clubs – EuroLeague Women 2022-23 Regular Season. What is EuroLeague?
The official name of the EuroLeague Women is FIBA EuroLeague Women. It is the highest professional basketball league in Europe for basketball clubs belonging to women.
It is different from the EuroLeague for men as the entire competition is organized by FIBA.
Germany – Munich – The list of the clubs taking part in the current season of EuroLeague Women as well as the list of teams in the flagship club of Europe competing in the Qualifiers for a Regular Season berth competition were announced on Wednesday.
22 clubs were registered for the EuroLeague Women 2022-2023 and 13 of the 22 clubs were allowed and granted a direct berth in the Regular Season.
The three spots remaining in the Regular Season are expected to find their rightful owners as soon as the three round-robin of the Qualifier tournaments is completed consisting of three clubs each. The winner of each of the said three tournaments only is eligible to earn the coveted ticket to the competition.
It was also announced by The FIBA Europe that the draw for the groups of the Regular Season and for the Qualifier tournaments will be taking place in Munich on Friday the 15th of July ,2022.

EuroLeague Women Qualifiers’ nine teams are are divided in two set of groups, one – according to the criteria of their geographical location bringing in the following teams in Pot A who will face each other in the same Qualifier tournament (ECW Conference 2) –
- Villeneuve d’Ascq-LM (FRA)
- Spar Girona (ESP)
- Virtus Segafredo Bologna (ITA)
The other six clubs are put in the two Qualifier tournaments remaining – ECW Conference 1.
The clubs who are placed second and the clubs who are placed third in each of the three tournaments of the Qualifier will be transferred to the Regular Season of the EuroCup Women, in their respective conference.
All the three tournaments of the Qualifiers are scheduled to take place between October 11th – October 13th, 2022.
