Pundit believes ‘very good’ Dutch talent would ‘love’ to join Arsenal
He praised De Ligt, saying the Dutch defender would be a good match for Arsenal because of his ability to play out of the back. “He knows the Ajax style, you know, passing it from the back,” Campbell explained to The Highbury Squad.
He had a great reputation; he just got off course by coming to Juventus, didn’t he? But he’s a great player.”
Campbell encouraged Mikel Arteta to sign him if the opportunity came. De Ligt, according to the Englishman, would prefer to join Arsenal. “There are gems like that who you can nab, you could snap them up,” he went on to say. He said: some really good players would love to join Arsenal.”
De Ligt rose to prominence as a youth with Ajax, helping the Eredivisie giants reach the Champions League semi-finals. However, things haven’t gone his way since his big-money move to Juventus in 2019.
He joined Bayern Munich in 2022, where he has been good but has fallen short of his early promise. However, the Dutch defender’s age still works to his advantage, since he turned 24 last year.

Thomas Frank has declared that Ivan Toney would remain at the club despite interest from Arsenal and Chelsea. Despite his eight-month suspension from football for breaking gambling regulations, Toney is reportedly in great demand.
Toney is due to return to action this month, and Brentford boss Thomas Frank has claimed that he will only sell for an ‘unbelievable’ fee. Toney had an outstanding season before being suspended.
He scored 21 goals and assisted on five others in 35 games across tournaments. He finished third in the Premier League goalscoring statistics with 20 goals in 33 games, following only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
