Concerns are expressed by Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik regarding the Delhi Police’s failure to investigate the FIRs they filed against federation boss Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
The active Wrestling Alliance of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has yet to be contacted by the Delhi Police regarding the lewd behavior first data reports (FIRs) with the following High Trial only two days away.
On Tuesday, the fighting grapplers expressed their outrage regarding the deferred examination.
They also expressed surprise at the news that PT Usha, the president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
A former track champion, and MC Mary Kom, the executive director of the AC, a boxing icon, have “deserted” them.
Usha last week said the grapplers should have shown more discipline while Mary, who in like manner headed the games administration’s oversight board that introduced a report into the improper conduct protests, has not commented on the continuous battles.
Members of the AC claim that drafting a public statement of support for the protestors was hampered, and the AC has not yet communicated with the wrestlers.
Usha and Kalyan Chaubey, president of the football federation and joint secretary of the IOA, had criticized the wrestlers, claiming that their sit-in protest was making the nation look bad.
Usha is a Rajya Sabha MP who was chosen by the BJP, and Chaubey joined the BJP around 2015. In 2016, the BJP selected Mary, a six-time champion and Olympic bronze medalist, to the RS.
I’ve heard that politicians can’t be trusted since I was a kid. It has been demonstrated by Mary and Usha. I watched these people grow up and wanted to be like them. I probably learned about the world in this way.
Usha has always had my respect. When we were young, we worried about whether or not we would ever get to see Usha, Sachin Tendulkar, Sania Mirza, and so on. on the spot.
Usha was also criticized by Bajrang Punia, a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympics. The wrestlers lamented the delay in the police investigation.
The police have not yet called Brij Bhushan to be questioned. The statements of the complainants have not been sought. What is this investigation exactly? Malik questioned. Ten days had passed since the sit-in began.
Punia mentioned: Singh maintains that he is supportive of the investigation and trusts the court and police. If he truly intends to surrender, he should do so in Delhi. He is the subject of two FIRs.
In the media, Singh went on to say that the wrestlers who were protesting had changed their minds and that he would resign if found guilty.
After serving a maximum of three four-year terms as WFI president, Singh is ineligible for reelection, as stipulated by the government’s sports code.
An ad hoc committee of the IOA has been tasked with making decisions regarding the new elections.
These people want me hanged even though the police investigation is ongoing. They might want to request a CBI examination if they have little to no faith in the Delhi Police test.
I will cheerfully leave if any of their claims are validated even at the examination stage,” he told India Television.
On Monday, Singh said that the fights were motivated by politics, pointing to the political pioneers who were at the demonstration. Punia called Malik’s comment a “wild, baseless allegation” and said it was an attempt to break their resolve.
“Our game really and intellectually tests us. In spite of the way that we are battling a particularly risky man, we don’t encounter pressure. That is on the grounds that Malik expressed, “We realize we are doing it for an honorable case.”
