Pro Kabaddi Auction 2022: PKL Player Auctions, Venue, Date and Time
Pro Kabaddi Auction 2022: The Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2022 will hold its auction for the December 2022 season in Mumbai from August 5, Friday to August 6, Saturday. Over 500 players will be auctioned off for the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. The PKL’s 12 teams will invest Rs 44 crores to bolster their lineups.
While outstanding performances like Pradeep Narwal and Pawan Sehrawat will be available for sale, all franchises will keep 19 exceptional players. The auction will be separated into four groups: raiders, defenders, and all-rounders. Surprisingly, the ninth season will feature 24 players from the top two teams of the Khelo India University competition 2021, which was held in Bangalore.
As organizations aim to develop a stronger and better squad this year, 111 players are kept across three categories: 41 Franchisees-nominated New Young Players, 38 New Young Players (NYP), 19 Elite Retained Players (ERP), and 13 in the Retained Young Players category.
In each Pro Kabaddi League season, a franchise may retain up to six ERP (Elite Retained Player) players and up to four New Young Players (NYPs) under the retention requirements. Check out this list of players that have been kept by each organization.
