The auction, earlier scheduled for September 8-9, was postponed at the request of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India. PKL (Pro Kabaddi League) organizers Mashal Sports have to announce the revised dates for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 player auction. The Player’s auction will now take place on 9th and 10 October 2023.
Talking about the auction, Pro Kabaddi League, League Commissioner, Mr. Anupam Goswami, said. “We are pleased to announce that the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 player auction will now be held immediately after the Asian Games. We are sure that there will be very strong fan excitement and interest in the blockbuster player auction. Many of the star performers of the Asian Games will attract competitive bids from PKL teams.
The teams of PKL have started forming their squads for PKL season 10 under the league player policy. In August Pro Kabaddi 2023, PKL teams exercised the option to retain players from their respective PKL Season 9 Squads.
The Domestic and foreign players will be divided into four teams in the PKL Season 10 Player Auction. The Teams are A, B, C, and D the players will be subdivided into ‘Defenders’, ‘All-Rounders’, and ‘Raiders’ within each team.
There are base prices for each of the teams:
TeamA- 30lakh
TeamB- 20lakh
TeamC- 13lakh
TeamD- 9lakh
The player pool for season 10 will include over 500 players, including 24 players from the two finalist teams of the Khelo Indian University Game in 2023. The available salary purse for each franchise is Rs 5 crore.
They have to choose Franchises to retain players in the three teams- A total of 84 Players 84 were retained.
