More to know
Everyone was hoping to start the new PGA Visit season on a high with the Fortinet Title, however it was Max Homa who walked away happy on Sunday at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, California.
Homa, the reigning champion, won by one shot over Danny Willett after birdieing an opening 72 to finish with a 4-under 68 and 16-under 272. But it didn’t seem to matter too much as Willett in in fact, he made a 3½-foot putt for birdie, which would have given him the triumph. However, Willett continued to miss the putt and left with a significantly longer comeback. Then at that point he missed the six-footer and gave Hom the title.
