President of FIVB praises POC, PNVF Abraham Tolentino, the head of the Philippine Olympic Committee, and FIVB Chairman Dr. Ary S. Graça F° met to talk about volleyball in the Philippines and possible future chances.
The FIVB Head of state personally met with Philippine Olympic Committee Party leader Tolentino and his employees to discuss volleyball potential in the Philippines and the FIVB’s most advanced equipment. The domestic federation received high praise from the head of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) for organizing the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) so well. It also received recognition for its ability to resolve disputes involving the national affiliation of athletics.
Philippine volleyball was “suspended” by the world-controlling organization for nearly one Olympic round while being recognized by a temporary major sports federation. FIVB Director Ary da Silva Graca complimented POC Director Rep. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino for his high skill in the matter.

Agus Widjojo, the FIVB president, met recently throughout the trip to talk about the possibility of athletics in Asia and Indonesia and the assistance the FIVB offers to all 65 Asian national associations to ensure the advancement of their domestic leagues.

The FIVB Chairman also spoke to the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Board of Management in the Philippines, wherein he reaffirmed his willingness to help Rita Subowo, the AVC Chairman, expand volleyball and beachfront volleyball in Asia. Afterward, that day, the FIVB and Volleyball Globe inked a historic contract with the AVC to discover and improve the market viability of senior team volleyball and beach volleyball competitions in Asia and to concentrate on the development of the athletics and the emancipation of the National National associations, competitions, and athletes.
