The Punjab Lords (PBKS) have surpassed all assumptions in the 2023 Indian Head Association (IPL) so far. Shikhar Dhawan started Punjab’s mission with a success over the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and have since scored up two additional triumphs. Their latest victory was a brilliant one against the Lucknow Super Goliaths (LSG).
When they play Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Match 27 of the IPL 2023 on April 20 in Mohali, PBKS will want to continue their promising run.
Due to player absences and injuries, the Royal Challengers have not performed to their full potential this season. They are close to having a full-strength squad from which to choose, and they are in desperate need of a solution to improve their situation.
With two victories from five matches, RCB is currently eighth in the standings and has the second-worst net run rate in the competition. Faf du Plessis and company have also had a bad run against PBKS recently, losing four of their last five matches.
Punjab will strive to continue accomplishing the unprecedented, whereas Bangalore will want to overcome the odds and gain momentum.
IPL 2023, PBKS versus RCB Match Forecast: After a disappointing loss at home, Bangalore wants to get back on track.
RCB come into the game on the rear of a frustrating home loss to the Chennai Super Lords (CSK). The hosts, whose bowling lineup has been supported solely by Mohammed Siraj this year, were led by Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, both of whom scored impressive fifties.
Bangalore have clear shortcomings against turn. Despite the fact that they have endeavored to paper over those breaks by getting Mahipal Lomror and Suyash Prabhudessai, it will take a couple of games for them to track down their heading. Even though Du Plessis has made significant progress against spin, he is unable to bat all the way through an innings every time.
On the other hand, PBKS prevailed over LSG despite having fewer batsmen than expected. Captain Shikhar Dhawan, who missed the past game, is still under a physical issue cloud, and the Rulers’ unpracticed center probably won’t have the option to pull off another unexpected win.
Punjab’s bowling attack is certainly capable of challenging the RCB batsmen, but their lack of spin penetration could play into the hands of the away team. This year, Rahul Chahar has not appeared particularly threatening. Harpreet Brar is a left-arm spinner who has troubled Bangalore in the past and has been economical in IPL 2023, but he does not frequently take a wicket.
RCB, on the other hand, could win by two points against a weaker opponent with a few tactical adjustments. Prabhudessai and Wanindu Hasaranga need to be trusted with bigger roles in the lineup and need to bat and bowl more.
The Kings have performed admirably thus far, and they certainly stand a chance in this afternoon matchup. However, the Royal Challengers appear to be the superior team and should be able to return to victory.
Prediction: RCB to dominate Game 27 of IPL 2023.
